I have always wanted to paint but never really had the time until after I retired. After more than 40 years since I had done
anything remotely artistic at the beginning in 2015 I thought I would see what I could do.
I decided that I would try my hand at painting with acrylic
paint. I figured that it would not be as messy as oils but not
  as wishy washy as watercolour.
The first picture I painted was St John’s Church, Clay Hill,
Enfield which you can see here. It is not perfect but I was
  encouraged by the results.
Since then I have continued to paint many different styles
such as landscapes, portraits, beach scenes (seascapes) and
  more.
I always work from photographs either those that I or my family have taken or images that I have found using Google
which I think are interesting or are a bit of a challenge..
I suppose that you may think that this site is a vanity project and you may be right, but the main reason for its existence is
to showcase my work to family and friends. It is a bonus if others find it interesting.
